PITTSBURG, Calif. (AP) - A Northern California doctor has been charged with one count of aggravated child pornography possession after police searched his home and found hundreds of images in a computer.

Contra Costa County prosecutors charged Dr. Michael Russell after investigator found more than 600 images and videos depicting children under the age of 12 engaged in sexual conduct.

Senior Deputy District Attorney Bryce Flynn tells the San Jose Mercury News (https://bit.ly/1ATBGUV ) the internal medicine doctor with a practice in Pittsburg was arrested Friday and remained free on Monday after posting $150,000 bail.

Flynn says none of the pornography involved the 74-year-old doctor’s patients.
