JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - The Sun Belt Conference says Arkansas State junior Aundrea Gamble was the top women’s basketball player in the league last week. It’s the second week in a row that she has won the honors.

The conference honored Gamble on Monday after she led the Red Wolves to victories over Louisiana-Monroe, Georgia Southern and Texas-Arlington.

Gamble led ASU to its first 5-0 league mark since the 2006-07 season. For the week, she averaged 24 points and 5.7 rebounds.

Her career-high 33 points against Texas-Arlington helped Arkansas State to an 80-77 victory. Gamble is leading the league with 20 points per game. She has been the Sun Belt Conference player of the week five times in her career.
