GARDNERVILLE, Nev. (AP) - Douglas County sheriff’s deputies have arrested a Gardnerville man whose daughter says he stabbed her in the arm with a fire pit fork.

Deputies say 44-year-old Brett Preston Later has been booked on suspicion of domestic battery and battery with a deadly weapon.

Sgt. Pat Brooks says they responded to a home on High School Street just before 8 p.m. Sunday. He says the daughter reported she had been in an argument with her father before he stabbed her three times in the arm.

Later’s bail has been set at $30,000.
