ATLANTA (AP) - A group of protesters staged a demonstration in the state Capitol outside Gov. Nathan Deal’s swearing-in ceremony.

Local media reported that the group gathered Monday afternoon to protest police brutality, to call for the expansion of the state’s Medicaid system and more resources for homeless children.

Georgia Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Franka Young says no arrests were made.

Young says the protest didn’t cause any disruption to the swearing-in ceremony and the demonstrators left without incident after being told to disperse.
