MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A Minneapolis man has been sentenced to four years in prison for a drunken driving crash that killed a bicyclist last year.

Fifty-year-old John Iverson was sentenced last week after pleading guilty to criminal vehicular homicide in October.

WCCO-TV (https://cbsloc.al/1AJwbWi ) reports Iverson received 338 days credit for time served.

Iverson was accused of driving his van last February after drinking heavily at a bar. Witnesses say Iverson sped west down Franklin Avenue in south Minneapolis, then suddenly swerved toward the cub and struck Marcus Nalls, a 26-year-old chef and bicycle commuter.

Iverson continued driving down the block until his van stopped after hitting a trash bin.
