KAPOLEI, Hawaii (AP) - A 65-year-old Kapolei woman is having trouble getting around after someone stole her motorized wheelchair.

Hawaii News Now (https://bit.ly/1AS0yfx ) reports Marlene Segura has survived cancer and has undergone seven surgeries on her legs after she was hit by a motor vehicle more than five years ago.

The accident made it hard for her to walk and she depends on her motorized wheelchair to get around.

Segura normally parks the wheelchair in her enclosed garage. But she left it on her porch because there was something wrong with it and she needed her son-in-law to check it for her.

It disappeared between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday when she wasn’t home. The wheelchair was the only thing taken.

Anyone with information is asked to call Honolulu Police.
