DENVER (AP) - Denver police say a woman has been killed after the driver of a stolen vehicle fled from police in Denver and crashed.

Police say 23-year-old Joseph Ogara is being held for investigation of vehicular homicide.

Ogara suffered minor injuries while a female passenger was taken to a hospital with serious injuries and later died.

According to the Denver Post (https://tinyurl.com/kgmrysk ), police officers were working the National Western Stock Show on Tuesday when they spotted a suspicious vehicle.

Police say they tried to stop the vehicle and the driver fled. Pursuing officers found the crashed vehicle about a quarter-mile away.
