ANAMOSA, Iowa (AP) - Jones County authorities have charged two men with vandalizing a veteran’s memorial.

Cedar Rapids television station KCRG (https://bit.ly/1AaI1pu ) reports 21-year-old Zachary Hansen and 20-year-old Coty Lukemyres are each charged with second-degree criminal mischief, which is a felony.

The Jones County Sheriff says Hansen turned himself in, but Lukemyres has no known address and has not been located. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s office.

Ten flags were repaired and replaced in November by a group of volunteers at a cost of around $2,000 after authorities said someone had damaged some flag poles and stolen several flags at the memorial outside the county courthouse.

It wasn’t immediately clear if Hansen had an attorney yet.
