DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (AP) - A suburban Philadelphia high school guidance counselor accused of posting an online threat against protesters staging a “die-in” outside a Philadelphia Eagles game has lost her job.

Central Bucks school board members voted Tuesday night to fire MaryKate Blankenburg.

The district placed Blankenburg on leave from Central Bucks West after the Dec. 7 Facebook post in which she allegedly threatened to “personally shoot” protesters if they stopped her son from getting to the game.

Although she has been fired, the Upper Gwynedd Township woman will not face criminal charges in the case. The Montgomery County district attorney’s office has called the post “short-sighted,” ”inappropriate and ill-advised,” but has said it lacked “the level of intent” to be considered criminal.
