PFLUGERVILLE, Texas (AP) - A 29-year-old man has been arrested after he told police he damaged nearly 50 vehicles, popping the tires on some of them because he said they looked brand new.

Timothy Allen Pratt was charged with criminal mischief on Monday after police said he caused around $11,000 in damage to several cars in Pflugerville (FLOO’-gur-vihl).

Travis County Jail records show that Pratt was still in custody as of Tuesday and didn’t list an attorney for him.

Officers say they found Pratt with his hands covered in blood. They say they found several metal objects that resembled throwing knives in his pockets.

Police say Pratt told them he cut his hands on several car mirrors. Authorities say Pratt damaged the tires, bumpers and mirrors parked at homes in Pflugerville.
