NEW YORK (AP) - New York City police have identified a woman’s remains found stuffed in a suitcase in March of 2013.

Police say 30-year-old Erica Mcdaniel’s body was found inside a burnt suitcase in a building in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn where a fire had occurred a year earlier.

Police say Mcdaniel was last living in Bedford-Stuyvesant. She had also lived in Kansas.

Police are asking anyone with information on the case to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
