LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - About 1,000 people gathered at a west Little Rock church to pray for Arkansas’ incoming governor, Asa Hutchinson.

Pastor Gary Hollingsworth of Immanuel Baptist Church spoke of Solomon asking God for wisdom, and prayed that God give Hutchinson wisdom, too, as he takes over state government.

The crowd, which included congregants, public officials and the general public, also sang hymns and “God Bless America.”

Hollingsworth also prayed for six other constitutional officers set to take office Tuesday and said his flock pledged to support the administration with its prayers.
