CLAYMONT, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police have identified a man who was fatally injured when he was struck by two cars while trying to cross a street in Claymont.

Troopers say 69-year-old Steven P. Boddy of Claymont was killed when tried to cross Naamans Road in the crosswalk against the light early Monday.

Police say Boddy was hit by one car, which knocked him to the ground; then a second vehicle hit him. Police say the first vehicle drove off, but the driver of the second vehicle stopped and remained at the scene.

Boddy was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation.
