ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A Shiprock man has been sentenced to 2 ½ years in federal prison for robbing a Farmington bank.

Prosecutors say 20-year-old Ryan Lowe also was sentenced Tuesday to three years of supervised release and ordered to pay an undisclosed amount of restitution.

Lowe was arrested last June on a criminal complaint alleging that he robbed the Citizens Bank branch in Farmington.

According to court filings, Lowe robbed the bank by presenting a demand note to a teller and taking cash on Feb. 13, 2014.

The FBI says witnesses provided evidence that led to Lowe’s arrest.

Lowe pleaded guilty in the case last September.
