INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - A 53-year-old Indianapolis man is facing a dozen felony charges in connection with two bank robberies.

Roderick Walker is accused of robbing two Chase Bank branches armed with a handgun and fake bomb. He’s charged with armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, criminal confinement, and possession of a hoax device, among other crimes.

Court documents allege Walker entered one of the locations on Dec. 22 carrying a handgun and suspicious package. They say he told a teller that he had a bomb with a detonator that had a one-mile radius. The documents say he left the fake device at the bank after collecting money.

Court documents allege he tried to pull a similar heist at another location on Jan. 5 but a teller was able to get behind protective glass.
