BREMERTON, Wash. (AP) - One cellphone in south Kitsap County has called 911 thousands of times in the past year, tying up dispatchers and police who have never been able to find the caller.

The Kitsap Sun reports (https://bit.ly/1CLBhRV ) the calls are coming from a phone that lacks a service plan and can only dial 911.

Officials think a child may be playing with the phone and dialing inadvertently. Dispatchers have been able to place the phone at a Port Orchard apartment complex but police have not been able to locate it.
