ELIZABETH, N.J. (AP) - Two northern New Jersey men have been indicted on felony murder charges in the street shooting death of a New York City man killed during a botched robbery last year.

Union County prosecutors say 41-year-old Mamuka Chamiashvili, of Brooklyn, was responding to an online ad when he came to the Elizabeth area in September 2014 to test drive a Mercedes-Benz sport utility vehicle.

When the test drive ended, he allegedly was approached by 28-year-old Ali Garner and 30-year-old Keon Lewis, both of Elizabeth. Chamiashvili was killed a short time later.

The two men also face robbery and weapons counts in the indictment handed up Tuesday by a Union County grand jury.

It wasn’t clear Tuesday if either man has retained a lawyer. They could get life sentences if convicted.
