EL PASO, Texas (AP) - Two West Texas teenagers are being accused of injuring a toddler after allegedly firing a BB or a pellet at a car window.

The El Paso Times reports (https://bit.ly/156FDYk ) the shooting happened on Dec. 14.

Police allege 18-year-old Theodore Ayoub was driving a vehicle when 19-year-old Anthony Rice fired a BB or a pellet gun at a Jeep. The right rear window of the Jeep was shattered, injuring a 2-year-old child in the car.

Both Ayoub and Rice remained jailed, each charged with injury to a child. Rice is also facing a dozen separate vehicle burglary charges.
