SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a hiker has been died about six miles off a mountain trail in Scottsdale.

Scottsdale Fire Department officials say it took crews about 30 minutes to reach the remote location north of Cave Creek Road around noon Tuesday.

They say dispatchers were notified the hiker had no pulse and wasn’t breathing.

A bystander was performing CPR before first responders arrived, but the man in his 60s was pronounced dead after fire medics got there.

It’s unclear how the man died although authorities say he may have had a medical condition. His name hasn’t been released yet.
