TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Pima County authorities say the body of a man has been found inside a Green Valley home after a fire was extinguished.

County sheriff’s officials say deputies responded to a residential fire about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The Green Valley Fire Department already was on scene extinguishing the flames.

As they were putting the blaze out, firefighters discovered a deceased body in the burned home and notified deputies.

The Sheriff’s Department Homicide and Arson Units responded to investigate the incident.

The body will be transported to the Office of the Medical Examiner for a forensic examination to determine the man’s identity and cause of death.

Authorities say the cause of the fire is under investigation.
