FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - Fairbanks police are urging residents to lock their parked vehicles as a series of thefts are reported.

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner (https://is.gd/QRfUlE) reports the thefts are mostly at business parking lots, residential neighborhoods also are being hit.

Officer Doug Welborn says neighborhood thefts often are more severe, especially when vehicles are left running or with the keys inside.
