YORK, Pa. (AP) - Jury selection has begun for the trial of a central Pennsylvania man charged in a shooting death following an early morning fight at a birthday party more than a year ago.

Thirty-year-old Ruben Delvalles-Vincente of York is charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy in the December 2013 slaying of 19-year-old Carlos Ramos-Diaz of York.

Police allege that the two men got into a dispute that continued outside in the back of the property, and the victim was shot as he got into a vehicle to leave.

PennLive.com (https://bit.ly/15so1q6 ) reports that 22-year-old Victor Martinez-Raices was also slated for trial Tuesday on the same charges, but prosecutors told a judge Tuesday that they may seek a delay in that case since he might be testifying.
