LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. (AP) - A 75-year-old Litchfield Park woman is in custody for allegedly trying to run over a neighbor with her car as he walked his dogs.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies say Theresa Jean Depiero was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault.

She reportedly had a run-in with her male neighbor about eight months ago after their dogs fought.

Court records show Depiero told investigators that she wished she were in a better mood when she saw the man walking through the area Monday evening.

The unidentified neighbor says a woman in a black SUV stopped her car, opened the door and shouted obscenities and yelled: “I am going to kill you.”

Depiero then allegedly drove directly toward the victim and caused him to jump off the road into landscaping.
