LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities are identifying a 27-year-old pedestrian hit by a car and killed last week at a busy Las Vegas crossroads, but say the driver in the hit-and-run crash hasn’t been located.

The Clark County coroner says Charles Andrew Hayden died of multiple injuries when he was hit about 6 a.m. Wednesday near a service station and convenience store at Tropicana Avenue and Jones Boulevard.

Officer Laura Meltzer said Tuesday the vehicle and driver haven’t been identified.

Police say the impact of the car hitting him threw Hayden against a palm tree before he was found in some bushes.

Paramedics determined he was dead at the scene.

Crash investigators have said no witnesses remained at the scene and the collision wasn’t captured on security camera video.
