CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Nevada’s congressional leaders are bringing several state residents to the President’s State of the Union address in Washington, D.C.

Sen. Harry Reid’s guests for the Tuesday night speech include Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve (SHEE’-vee), Army veteran Jeff Detrick and immigrant activist Blanca Gamez.

Rep. Joe Heck invited Jodi Goldberg, sister of a slain Las Vegas cab driver whose death inspired legislation making it easier for search parties to access federal lands.

Rep. Dina Titus invited Tim Wong, head of a Las Vegas-based company supporting high-tech manufacturing. Rep. Cresent Hardy invited Marine Corps veteran Bruno Moya.

Sen. Dean Heller didn’t announce any guests. Rep. Mark Amodei declined to invite a guest.

The president’s speech will air live at 6 p.m. PST on major networks, and can be watched online at www.whitehouse.gov/sotu.
