ST. LOUIS (AP) - A St. Louis woman has died after falling on ice and injuring her back.

KMOV-TV (https://bit.ly/15syP8n ) reports that 32-year-old Karey Kaemmerer was chasing her daughter’s dog last week when she slipped on ice that formed in south St. Louis after a water main break.

Kaemmerer went to an emergency room and was told she had ruptured discs. She was given pain medication and told to see a surgeon.

Days later, she was found dead. The exact cause of death has not been determined.

Kaemmerer had three daughters, ages 12, 4 and 17 months.
