HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) - A Maryland State Police trooper is recovering from injuries he suffered when an armored truck skidded into his cruiser and another vehicle parked along eastbound Interstate 70 near Myersville.

Police say Master Trooper Lester Leggett was knocked to the ground as he walked back toward his patrol vehicle after completing a traffic stop Monday afternoon. Leggett was treated at Frederick Memorial Hospital and released.

The driver of the Brinks armored truck, James Williams III of Essex, was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore. A spokesman said Tuesday that Williams has been discharged from the hospital.
