LOS ANGELES (AP) - Authorities used a video posted on YouTube to help track nine motorcyclists who are suspected of taunting an officer, blocking traffic and performing reckless stunts on a Southern California freeway last year.

California Highway Patrol Officer Edgar Figueroa said Wednesday that a video posted on YouTube and digital camera recordings taken from patrol cars were used to locate the riders.

The CHP says they face felony criminal charges.

Authorities say that on Feb. 15, 2014, motorcyclists blocked a patrol vehicle - veering into its path - to prevent the arrest of one of the riders.

CHP Southern Division Chief Dan Bower says reckless motorcycle riding is becoming a dangerous trend that endangers motorists.

At one point, the video shows a CHP vehicle surrounded by riders.
