HONOLULU (AP) - A swarm of bees has prompted the partial closure of an East Oahu elementary school.

KHON-TV (https://is.gd/AOkUmL) reports the swarm was discovered Tuesday afternoon. Bees were creating a hive on a bench near a playground at Hahaione Elementary School.

A letter about the problem was sent home to parents.

The Department of Education is taking care of the hive in the area, which was roped off.
