CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A 25-year-old Casper man is charged with threatening to spread an inappropriate photo of a girl who refused to have sex with him.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1CBgsrW ) Nathan James Porter was charged Tuesday with blackmail and sexual exploitation of a child. He did not enter a plea and his bond was set at $20,000.

Charging documents say the girl contacted police on Jan. 9 and was interviewed a week later. She told officers she had sent messages to Porter, including an inappropriate photograph.

She told officers that when she refused Porter’s request to have sex with her he offered her $50 and then threatened to put the inappropriate photo online.

Detectives used the girl’s phone to contact Porter and set up a meeting, where he was arrested. Prosecutors say he turned over his phone.
