CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. (AP) - Charles Town police say a man suspected of fatally shooting one person and wounding another killed himself following a police chase.

Police tell media outlets that investigators haven’t determined a motive for the shootings on Tuesday night.

One victim, 37-year-old Billy Harrison II of Berkeley County, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim, 36-year-old Brian Adams of Charles Town, was in critical condition on Wednesday at a hospital in Fairfax, Virginia.

Investigators identified 44-year-old Patrick Bogden as a suspect in the shootings. Officers found Bogden’s vehicle and attempted a traffic stop but the man fled. Police say Bogden killed himself following a chase that ended in Berkeley County.
