ST. FRANCISVILLE, La. (AP) - State police say a 73-year-old Gonzales man died in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 61 near St. Francisville.

Trooper Jared Sandifer says pickup driven by Felix Lipoma pulled out of a private driver Tuesday afternoon and struck the rear wheels of an 18-wheeler. He says the pickup overturned several times before coming to rest on the shoulder of the roadway.

Sandifer says Lipoma was taken to a hospital in St. Francisville where he died.

The driver of the truck, 67-year-old John McDonald of Woodville, Mississippi, was not injured.
