FREDERICK, Md. (AP) - The Frederick News-Post is announcing a change in the leadership of its parent company, Randall Family LLC.

The newspaper reports (https://bit.ly/183UNj7 ) that 34-year-old Will Randall was promoted Tuesday to chairman of the board. He also was named vice president and chief operating officer of the family-owned business.

Randall had been director of production and technology services.

Randall succeeds his grandmother, Frances Randall, who will stay on as chairwoman emerita. His father, Myron Randall, continues as president.

As chief operating officer, Randall oversees day-to-day operations of the 132-year-old newspaper and the FNP Printing and Publishing business. The News-Post has a daily circulation of 33,000.

Randall says he hopes to create a more vibrant, responsive company that can respond to changes in the community.
