COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A dose of winter weather is delaying the start of school in parts of Ohio with a freezing rain advisory in the eastern part of the state and one to three inches of snow predicted around Cleveland.

Two-hour delays were being reported in central and northern Ohio for a number of schools Wednesday as rain was starting to turn into snow, making travel a bit hazardous.

Forecasts ranged from half an inch of snow or less around Columbus to as much as three inches near Cleveland and one to two inches around Toledo.

Warmer temperatures are expected this weekend before a cool down next week.
