GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Greenville police have apprehended two men who they say shot the same man twice within a week.

Police said 19-year-old Elijah Earl Conley and 23-year-old Jeremy Omar Whichard are each charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. Greenville Police Department spokeswoman Kristen Hunter says investigators received a tip about where the men were hiding out and arrested them without incident around 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Hunter said 20-year-old Dovid J. Temple was shot in the leg and arm on Tuesday. She said Temple ran to an apartment complex after the shooting, and was later treated and released from Vidant Medical Center.

Hunter says Temple suffered minor injuries after he was shot in the back and the leg on Jan. 13.
