NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Officials say a broken water main is affecting a large section of south Davidson County.

Metro Nashville Water spokeswoman Sonai Allman told media that the 60-inch main helps supply water to “a large portion of south Nashville” but she wasn’t sure how widespread outages on Wednesday were.

Media reported that several businesses have been affected. Some don’t have water; others have low pressure. Metro Water says it is providing potable water for Southern Hills Medical Center.

Metro schools said classes would meet on schedule.

Crews are working to fix the break and restore normal water pressure.
