SANTA ROSA, Calif. (AP) - Sonoma County authorities say a pedestrian was killed when an SUV overturned onto a sidewalk after it collided with a car at an intersection.

The Press Democrat says (https://bit.ly/159fqIF) the crash happened Tuesday in downtown Santa Rosa.

The Ford Explorer ended up on its roof on the sidewalk.

Rescue personnel worked with a pneumatic inflation device and wooden blocks to lift the SUV off the woman, but she died at the scene.

Police Sgt. Mike Numainville says two men, drivers of the Ford and a Volvo, were taken to a hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries.

Numainville says the drivers were cooperative with investigators. No one has been cited.

The victim’s name was withheld pending notification of her family.
