BRIGHTON, Colo. (AP) - Drug agents have arrested 32 people in a series of drug raids in the Denver metro area.

Authorities say the arrests on Thursday are a result of a year-long investigation by numerous law enforcement agencies. They said 17 raids were carried out in Northglenn, Thornton, Commerce City, Arvada, Denver and unincorporated Adams and Arapahoe counties.

Authorities say they seized seven pounds of methamphetamine, three pounds of cocaine, two pounds of heroin and eight firearms and more arrests are expected.
