Kid Rock jumped into the “American Sniper” debate this week, wishing Seth Rogen and Michael Moore would “catch a fist to the face soon” over their controversial comments concerning the Chris Kyle biopic.

In a short but heated post on his website, the five-time Grammy-nominated singer wrote: “F— you Michael Moore, you’re a piece of s— and your uncle would be ashamed of you. Seth Rogen, your uncle probably molested you. I hope both of you catch a fist to the face soon. God bless you Chris Kyle, Thank you for your service.”

Kid Rock’s comments come after “The Interview” star Mr. Rogen tweeted Monday that “American Sniper” reminded him of the fake Nazi propaganda film playing in the third act of Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglorious Basterds,” which showed a German sniper killing Allied soldiers from a clock tower.

Mr. Moore, who directed the liberal documentaries “Sicko” and “Capitalism: A Love Story,” also caught heat for this tweet: “My uncle killed by sniper in WW2. We were taught snipers were cowards. Will shoot u in the back. Snipers aren’t heroes. And invaders r worse.”

Kid Rock isn’t the only celebrity to wish harm on the pair. On Monday, actor Dean Cain, who was paired with Chris Kyle in 2012 on NBC’s “Stars Earn Stripes,” told Mr. Rogen: “Seth…I like your films, but right now, I wanna kick your ass. Chris is an American Hero. Period. Go to war. Then we’ll talk.”

Responding to Mr. Moore, Mr. Cain tweeted: “Disparage #ChrisKyle to my face. We’ll see who is a coward. #Disrespect #Coward.”

Mr. Rogen and Mr. Moore have both attempted to walk back their previous comments about the film, which created a social media firestorm among conservatives.

“I just said something ‘kinda reminded’ me of something else,” Mr. Rogen clarified. “I actually liked ‘American Sniper.’ It just reminded me of the Tarantino scene… But if you were having a slow news day, you’re welcome for me giving you the opportunity to blow something completely out of proportion.”

Mr. Moore tweeted Monday: “Hmm. I never tweeted 1word bout AmericanSniper/ChrisKyle. I said my uncle killed by sniper in WWII; only cowards would do that 2 him, others.”
