CINCINNATI (AP) - A report says a second person was apparently on the Ohio Interstate 75 overpass when it collapsed, killing a worker and injuring a trucker.

Both a Cincinnati police sergeant at the scene and the Hamilton County coroner say the second man was in an excavator when the bridge went down Monday night.

Sgt. Mike Miller tells the Cincinnati Enquirer for a story Thursday (https://cin.ci/185h8wH ) the worker in the excavator got out all right.

Miller was working an off-duty detail in a police cruiser on I-75 just feet from the bridge when it fell.

Highway construction work has resumed in Cincinnati even as investigations continue into the collapse.

U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration investigators have been at the site and other authorities are also probing the accident.
