FRACKVILLE, Pa. (AP) - An eastern Pennsylvania man has been arrested in the beating death of his roommate last year.

Thomas Petrousky was charged Thursday with criminal homicide aggravated assault and other offenses in the April 2014 death of 50-year-old David Halaburda near Frackville.

The 54-year-old Petrousky is currently serving 1-3 years in prison for an assault last year and could not be reached for comment. Online court records did not list information on his lawyer.

Police say they found Halaburda in the home covered with household items with blood all around.

A coroner said he died from blunt force trauma to the head and neck.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 30.
