ALBANY, Ga. (AP) - Federal prosecutors say a man involved with a drug cartel has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Authorities say 31-year-old Nolberto Martinez of Bronwood was sentenced Thursday to 30 years in prison for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine.

Prosecutors say Martinez was a member of a large scale drug cartel that trafficked cocaine throughout middle Georgia between 2007 and October 2011.

Prosecutors say more than 15 other people linked to the cartel Martinez was involved in have also been sentenced on drug charges. Their sentences range from two years to life in prison.
