MANOR, Texas (AP) - Central Texas authorities say a helicopter was used to rescue a 39-year-old woman clinging to a tree branch in a flooded field.

According to the Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Service, the woman suffered minor injuries and refused transport to a hospital.

Officials say the woman on Thursday night drove her vehicle around barricades blocking a flooded road near Manor. They say the water then swept her vehicle off the road.

Authorities say she was able to get out of her vehicle and reach a tree. STARFlight was called to the scene and removed the woman from the water.

EMS officials say she was the only person in the vehicle.
