FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Officials in Fargo hope overall arterial traffic will improve in the city thanks to the installation of flashing yellow turn arrows at 11 intersections.
Fargo officials say this new type of turn arrow is meant to make left turns from main arterial roadways simpler and safer. Drivers seeing these arrows will have to yield to oncoming traffic and turn when it is safe to do so.
Officials say they have already seen improvements at the intersections of 45th Street at Amber Valley Parkway, 23rd Avenue South and 9th Avenue South; and 13th Avenue South at 25th Street and University Drive.
The city plans to add flashing yellow turn arrows at up to 13 more intersections this year.
