MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) - Martin Breunig and Jordan Gregory scored 15 points apiece as Montana beat Southern Utah 58-56 on Saturday.
Mario Dunn had 14 points and led the Grizzlies (10-8, 6-1 Big Sky Conference) with seven rebounds. Riley Bradshaw chipped in 10 points. The team hit 40 percent from the field overall and 69.9 percent from the line.
Southern Utah led 23-19 at the break but the Grizzlies started the second half on a 10-2 run to go on top 29-25 with 16:14 to play. Montana took a 54-49 lead on a jumper by Breunig with 2:59 remaining. Austin Waddoups hit a 3-pointer with 10 seconds to play to bring Southern Utah to within one, 57-56, but the team missed two shots in the final seconds and fell short.
Race Parsons scored 13 points for the Thunderbirds (5-13, 2-5).
