MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) - A Florida man has been indicted in a suburban Atlanta jewelry heist.

Cobb County District Attorney’s spokeswoman Kim Isaza said Monday that 30-year-old Osniel Labrada-Guillen of Miami Gardens, Florida is charged with racketeering.

Isaza says the suspect who burglarized a jewelry shop in Kennesaw, Georgia in January 2010 cut holes in the roof, disabled the phones and alarms, and cut a hole in a safe before stealing more than $1 million worth of jewelry.

Isaza says a bin of stolen items was found at nearby restaurant and DNA from a plastic spoon near the bin matched DNA from a ski mask that was recovered after a burglary in Indiana.

Authorities say Labrada-Guillen is also accused in burglaries in Florida and Texas. A call to his attorney was not answered.
