BALTIMORE (AP) - A Maryland man has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for producing child pornography that stemmed from a sexual assault of a child.

Prosecutors say 22-year-old Darrius Carr of Severn, Maryland pleaded guilty to the charge in March.

Prosecutors say the man assaulted a toddler he was supposed to be looking after, and took six sexually explicit photos and two videos of himself with the child. Prosecutors say Carr also distributed hundreds pornographic images of children.

Prosecutors say Carr must register as a sex offender upon release from prison.
