MOHAVE VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities in Mohave County say they’re investigating a fire at a church that appears to be arson.

County sheriff’s deputies responded to a fire at the Christ Church on South Highway 95 in Mohave Valley around 4:30 a.m. Monday.

They say nobody was inside the church at the time, but forced entry was made into the structure.

Investigators say the fire doesn’t appear to be a hate crime.

A damage estimate isn’t immediately available.

County sheriff’s detectives and Mohave Valley Fire Department officials still are investigating the fire.

They say the Silent Witness program is offering a reward of up to $500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the fire.
