NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Kevin Brown scored 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting and New Orleans handled winless Central Arkansas 87-67 on Monday.

New Orleans (6-10, 2-5 Southland) shot 60 percent from the floor and was 18 of 33 from the line. Brown made 4 of 5 of his 3-point attempts. Kevin Hill added 18 points and nine boards, Terrance Syon had 13 points and Christavious Gill ended with 10.

New Orleans scored the first 13 points of the game and led by as many as 19 before heading into intermission with a 50-33 lead.

Jordan Howard led Central Arkansas (0-18, 0-7) with 16 points, Mathieu Kamba came off the bench for 12, Thatch Unruh added 11 and Boo Milligan was 8 of 10 from the line and finished with 10 points. The Bears hold the nation’s second-longest losing streak this season.
