LANDISVILLE, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say no foul play is suspected in the deaths of an elderly woman and her daughter in their central Pennsylvania home.

LNP (https://bit.ly/1zjonNB ) reports that the decomposed bodies were found Monday in East Hempfield Township in Lancaster County.

Officials believe the two died in early December.

District Attorney Craig Stedman said there was no evidence of forced entry, and “nothing at this time looks like this was a homicide.”

He said there was also no evidence of a gas leak or carbon monoxide poisoning.

Stedman said the younger woman, who was in her 50s, was taking care of her mother, who was in her 80s.

The bodies were found after another daughter who lives elsewhere asked police to check on her mother.
